Cyanotype Printmaking Workshop 🌿✨
Join us at ElAshry Studios for a hands-on cyanotype printmaking experience where you’ll explore one of the oldest photographic printing techniques and transform light, nature, and composition into unique visual artwork.
In this workshop, you’ll create your own cyanotype-printed fabric on a hoop while experimenting with different approaches such as botanical cyanotype, cyanographia, wet cyanotype, and toning. You’ll work with natural elements, shadows, and sunlight to produce expressive, one-of-a-kind prints.
Whether you’re completely new to printmaking or simply looking to try a new creative process, this session is designed to guide you step by step. All materials and tools are provided.
What you’ll do
Learn the basics of cyanotype printmaking and its historical background
Create your own cyanotype-printed fabric on a hoop
Experiment with botanical cyanotype, cyanographia, wet cyanotype, and toning techniques
Work with natural elements, light, and composition to build your artwork
Take home your finished cyanotype piece
