When the global metal institution Wacken Open Air calls, the underground answers! For the first time, the spirit of the legendary festival arrives here, unleashing pleasantly hellish music with a lineup that reflects the raw force of the region’s metal movement and the international scene that surrounds it. The charge starts with Cairo’s Erasing Mankind, a groove and death-metal outfit forged from veterans of Egypt’s underground scene. Their sound is relentless, heavy riffs, crushing rhythms, and lyrics that channel the darker corners of the human condition. Next,  Veritatem, one of Egypt’s long-standing melodic death-metal acts. Their music balances aggression with atmosphere, blending sharp technical guitar work with themes of spirituality, politics, and personal struggle, and lastly, Gorynov , Cairo-based thrash metal band that emerged in the Egyptian underground metal scene in the early 2010s. Their sound is rooted in classic high-speed thrash metal, aggressive guitar riffs, fast drum patterns, and intense vocals inspired by the traditional thrash style.
