Mazaher Ensemble (Zar)

Zar is one of the few musical forms in which women take a leading role.
Its artistic importance lies in the fact that it has lived largely isolated from processes of influence and exchange, thus preserving its original structure.
Zar extends across the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen, the Gulf region, Iraq, and Iran.
In Egypt, Zar is divided into three types: the Masri (Upper Egyptian) Zar, Abu El Gheit Zar, and the Sudanese (African) Zar.

There are two concerts on Thursday 23rd of April:

First Concert - 7:00 PM

Second Concert - 8:45 PM

Ticket price: 300 EGP
including all taxes and fees
until full capacity

Dear audience, due to the small space of Makan and the limited number of seats, please note:
1- Advance reservation is required at least one day before via WhatsApp
2- Doors open for reserved tickets 1 hour before the concert start time
3- Reservations are released 40 minutes before the concert start time
4- Waiting list entry starts at 40 minutes before the concert start time if seats are available
5- The concert begins on scheduled time or earlier in case of a full house
