Intestines is a quartet of two ouds, guitar, and violin.

Through a long semi-improvised set, the group explores unexpected paths, treating the instruments in ways that move beyond their usual roles.

The quartet is composed of long-time collaborators Aly Eissa, Marwan ElGamal, Aly Refai & Andrew Ishak who each bring their own unique approach to ma-gam-based improvisation, creating a piece that explores a plethora of different sonic possibilities through a wide instrumental pallette.
