Palestinian artist Huda Asfour takes the stage THIS Tuesday, March 10th, at the French Institute in downtown Cairo. Doors to the auditorium will open at 9pm and the concert at 10 🙏🏽
An observer of waves, Huda Asfour moves across geographies, genres, and disciplines. A former biomedical engineer, she once studied the systems of the human body; today, she treats music itself as a living technology-a way to map attention and collective listening. Based between Cairo and Brooklyn, she performs solo and collaborative concerts, scores films, and co-leads large-ensemble improvisation projects.
In this unplugged solo performance of her latest project "Naqous", Huda places the spoken word at the center of the musical experience. Through oud, voice, and looping, she explores repetition as memory and resistance-what returns, what insists, what defies erasure.
For when the storm won't stop and all logic fails. An invitation to stand true and hold space. More testimony, less concert. A catharsis. A prayer for clarity amid the chaos.
