Gathering Memories with My Eyelashes

A theater performance tells the story of an actress who gradually loses her childhood memories, prompting her mother to take her on a journey to recover them. Along the way, this journey reveals intimate truths about herself, her family, and her homeland. Through this first theatrical work as an author, Nanda Mohammad explores memory as both a theme and a lived experience, moving between her past in Syria and her life in Egypt, and questioning whether it is possible to build the future without erasing the past.
